ADVOCACY COUNCIL

The economic environment in which foodservice equipment distributors and dealers operate is becoming more challenging as direct selling misguides end-users and threatens distribution. FEDA’s leaders, members, management, and staff have mapped out and are working toward viable goals and strategies that will position distributors and dealers to overcome this challenge and prepare them to succeed as the industry goes through other changes ahead. FEDA’s Advocacy Council is charged with developing a point-by-point advocacy agenda and action plan that advance distribution and engage members. The Council meets four times a year. FEDA will also further its advocacy priorities by coordinating its planning and efforts with industry partners that share FEDA’s advocacy interests. These joint efforts are focused on solving channel disruptions and making the channel more profitable for everyone.

YOUNG INDUSTRY LEADERS STEERING COMMITTEE
Formed to help identify and develop the diverse range of talent within the foodservice equipment and supplies industry, FEDA’s Young Industry Leaders (YIL) seeks to engage dealer/distributor professionals serving in various leadership roles by offering leadership development training and opportunities to network with other young industry professionals.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING COMMITTEE
FEDA’s Education and Training Committee, guided by FEDA’s Education Foundation, helps identify the top skill gaps and education and training needs for distributors and dealers and guides staff on members’ highest priority programs, products, and services related to distributors and dealer education and training. The Committee meets four times a year.
