Ace Mart Restaurant Supply, a FEDA distributor member, has acquired Wichita Restaurant Supply in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Wichita Restaurant Supply Company was founded in 1939 and has been locally owned and operated ever since. In January 1981, Jim and Sandy Hay purchased an ownership stake in the company, becoming full owners in November 1985. For more than 35 years, the Hays and their employees have continued a tradition of serving the local foodservice community with knowledge and dependability. When Jim Hay passed away in April 2022, Sandy continued to manage the business, as it was her desire for the company to continue to thrive as a viable part of downtown Wichita Falls while meeting the needs of her dedicated employees and long-time customers.
“Jim was a hard worker and poured his heart and soul into Wichita Restaurant Supply,” Sandy said. “I know he would be proud that his legacy will pass to the new owners.”
This acquisition signals Ace Mart Restaurant Supply’s intent to serve more Texas businesses, embracing the Wichita Falls community and expanding further north. The of Wichita Restaurant Supply will join Ace Mart and continue supporting their longtime customers with greater access to technology and inventory to further develop these important business relationships.
