IWELB Drop-In Induction Dry Well
Hatco’s new drop-in induction dry well enhances the tried-and-true performance of traditional food wells with a variety of efficiency and versatility gains. For use in countertop or built-in modular applications, the IWELB can be easily integrated into buffet lines, grocery store food bars, cafeterias, and any other application where wet and dry wells are currently being used. Its dry-use design does not require deliming or the installation of floor drains and water lines, eliminating the labor-intensive cleaning, maintenance and installation associated with wet well alternatives.

“Labor to use this is substantially less than wet well applications,” says Meghan Eichelberger, senior digital communications coordinator at Hatco. “It is easy to operate and very easy to clean. Market place feedback was very valuable in helping us to design efficient, easy to use, easy to clean, flexible pan size options, and durability features. We performed extensive reliability testing to make sure this was the most rugged, dependable unit in the field.”

What Salespeople Need to Know
Eichelberger points out that some manufacturers require that only their own pans be used with their machines, but the IWELB can use unlimited combinations of any full size, half-size, one-third size, or one-sixth size pans. It has two heat zones with two temperature probes per zone and an intuitive control panel to provide precise temperature adjustment between 150 and 210 degrees Fahrenheit. For added convenience, this model has a durable glass-ceramic well bottom that can be easily raised and lowered to accommodate either 2.5 or 4 inch deep pans. It also features a sensor that keeps the well from powering on unless a pan is present.

This drop-in induction dry well was manufactured to have the highest ambient temperature rating and can be ordered with custom built software so that multi-unit operators can hold their unique product most effectively, Eichelberger explains. An integrated USB port gives users access to software updates and future access to additional operating modes. This dry well can be top or bottom mounted for simple installation and utilizes induction technology for faster, more energy-efficient performance.
