Vulcan's Minijet Offers All the Features of a Full-Size Combi Oven in a Smaller, Ventless and Stackable Form Factor

Minijet Combi Oven
The complex controls and options on some combi ovens can be an intimidating barrier to operator adoption. The Vulcan Minijet, however, manages to provide both an intuitive design that requires minimal training for inexperienced workers, as well as sophisticated customization that gives experienced chefs the tools they need for precise control over any menu item. Its foolproof ABC mode is powered by a patented process that automatically adjusts the cabinet’s humidity level for optimum speed, moisture retention and food quality. The JET mode puts total control into the hands of a skilled chef so they can manipulate humidity, fan speed, and other factors to get the exact result they’re looking for. Those intricate recipes can then be saved and easily re-used by novice kitchen staff with the press of a button in AUTO mode.

With so much included technology, the Minijet has all the features and benefits of a full size combi, in just a fraction of the space. “End users asked for a full featured, stackable, ventless combi that accommodates half-size sheet pans on the smallest possible footprint,” says Tim Kidder, senior digital marketing manager at Vulcan/Wolf. “The Minijet checks all those boxes and has additional options to include a three-point temperature probe, a retractable hose kit with handheld sprayer, an air fry basket, and a grill plate.”

What Salespeople Need to Know
This versatile machine can be used to bake, roast, grill, airy fry, rethermalize, proof, finish, poach, stew, defrost, and perform a variety of other functions, too. “It is ventless, stackable, and although it is small, its multi-functionality and ease of use means it can pump out food through all day-parts,” Kidder says, noting the machine’s cleanability has also resonated with operators. “Compatibility with non-proprietary liquid chemicals allows flexibility and ease of automated cleaning processes at the push of a button or on a scheduled timing.”

The unit features a control knob and touch screen for ease of use, even when wearing gloves. A USB port on the oven combines with free PC software that matches the machine functions to allow for easy transferring of recipes, photographs and profiles between the Minijet and computers. The equipment can be purchased with a left or right hinge orientation and boasts a unique rear design with recessed utilities that permit installation flush against a wall.

Kidder notes that Vulcan’s partnership with Hobart Service makes service and maintenance much easier. “Our exclusive Hobart Free Equipment Checkout upon install eliminates the first service call the majority of the time,” he adds.
