Membership Information
A FEDA membership opens the door to exclusive resources and industry technologies that position dealers, manufacturers and business services providers to thrive in today’s marketplace. FEDA represents more than 90 percent of the over $16 billion U.S. foodservice equipment and supplies distribution industry, serving as a committed partner that advances the sales expertise and distribution capabilities that dealers bring to manufacturers, consultants, service representatives, and customers. For more than 90 years, industry leaders — from visionary family-owned companies to multibillion-dollar enterprises — have turned to FEDA to strengthen their competitive edge. The FEDA Annual Executive Leadership Conference is the industry’s must-attend event for high-level networking and strategic learning. Each conference features advanced research, dynamic sessions and a powerful lineup of industry insiders and expert speakers. By attending, members stand alongside the most forward-thinking and successful distributors and manufacturers in the industry to solve real-world business challenges. The FEDA Learn Institute is the central hub for the association’s educational opportunities. All employees of FEDA member companies can build essential skills and earn FEDA certifications by completing role-specific training in key areas, including sales strategies, supply chain, finance, operations, product education, and technology. Through partnerships with organizations such as the Association for Finance Professionals, select courses offer continuing professional education credits. The FEDA Learn Institute is available to all member companies at no cost, and there is no limit on the number of employees who can participate. Manufacturers may also use the FEDA Learn Institute to share product education information and how-to videos that educate dealers on their offerings and help prepare salespeople by strengthening their product knowledge. Beyond furthering their professional development and educating themselves about the foodservice equipment and supplies industry, FEDA business services members are offered chances to highlight their areas of expertise to dealers and manufacturers by sharing topic videos and other resources on the FEDA Learn Institute. Distributors and manufacturers that join FEDA gain exclusive access to one of the industry’s most ambitious technology initiatives: the FEDA DP+Q (Data Portal and Quoting) Project. The heart of this initiative is the FEDA Data Portal, a database of uniform product information that easily integrates into existing systems. The FEDA Advocacy Center provides timely legislative and regulatory information and tools to help distributor members become involved in FEDA’s advocacy initiatives. These efforts include letters to elected officials, briefings from policy experts and member visits with senators and representatives on Capitol Hill.
