Clark Associates Welcomes 76 Interns for 2026 Summer Program
CEO Gene Clark welcomes interns at Clark Associates' orientation earlier this summer.
Clark Associates, a FEDA distributor member, has welcomed 76 students from 49 colleges, universities, and technical schools to its 2026 Summer Intern Program, providing participants with hands-on experience across multiple areas of the business.
The internship program offers opportunities in equipment distribution, e-commerce, software development, sales, and other business functions while introducing students to the foodservice industry. According to the company, its remote work environment continues to attract talent from across the country, with this year's largest groups of interns coming from Penn State University, Drexel University, the University of Michigan, the University of Pittsburgh, Millersville University, and Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology.
In addition to practical work experience, interns participate in professional development activities designed to strengthen communication, teamwork, adaptability, and leadership skills. The program includes resume reviews, networking events, and a variety of virtual and in-person learning opportunities.
Participants will also take part in several signature experiences throughout the summer, including "Learn How to Dream," a group discussion led by Clark Associates founder and Chairman Fred Clark, and a Senior Leadership Panel featuring company vice presidents who share career insights and answer questions about professional development. Interns are also invited to participate in a company volunteer day at Long's Park in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
The program concludes with each intern presenting their summer accomplishments to peers, managers, and members of the executive leadership team, with coaching provided throughout the summer to help develop presentation skills.
Clark Associates also supports student engagement through its Ambassador Program and partnerships with 17 colleges and universities, providing employees with opportunities to participate in career fairs, classroom presentations, and campus outreach activities aimed at developing the next generation of foodservice industry professionals.
