HostMilano to Highlight Coffee Equipment and Competition

Many business professionals rely on coffee to give their start of the day a much-needed jolt, but it is also becoming an increasingly important driver in the foodservice equipment and supplies industry. An analysis from Mordor Intelligence estimates that the global coffee machine market is now worth nearly $19 billion and is on track to surpass $25 billion by 2030.

It’s no surprise then that coffee drinks and coffee equipment will get a spotlight at the 2025 HostMilano exhibition, which will be presented Oct. 17-21 in Milan. HostMilano has long been the international benchmark for the entire coffee supply chain thanks to SIC, the International Coffee Exhibition, which brings together the bar/coffee machines and coffee/tea sectors.

But it’s not just equipment that will be on display. This year’s exhibition is also welcoming the return of the World Barista Championship (WBC), one of the world’s most prestigious coffee competitions. Focusing on promoting excellence in coffee and professional growth among baristas, the WBC gives coffee professionals a stage to showcase their skills in preparing espresso-based drinks, milk creations and original signature beverages. The highly competitive event is expected to bring together top baristas from more than 50 countries.

Checking out all that coffee equipment should also be a bit easier than in years past. SIC will be concentrated in Pavilions 8-12 and 16-20, which are located at the heart of the exhibition center. HostMilano explained this change will make for a more fluid exhibition layout and enhance the connections between the bar/coffee machines and coffee/tea sectors. An additional area in Pavilion 18 will also house some gelato and pastry machinery, equipment, ingredients, and solutions, encouraging crossover between the complementary markets. “From artisanal production technologies to cutting-edge service concepts, this macro-area is the go-to place to discover everything needed to grow your business,” HostMilano said.
