Merrychef Begins Work on U.K. Facility Expansion

Merrychef, a FEDA manufacturer member and Welbilt brand, has broken ground on an expansion of its existing manufacturing facility in Sheffield, United Kingdom.

The expansion will add about 42,700 square feet of space to the facility, doubling the manufacturer’s warehousing space and increasing its manufacturing capacity. Merrychef also plans to incorporate state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies for inventory management and supply chain efficiency into the project. Once completed, the expansion is expected to create up to 80 new jobs at the facility.
