Norbec, a FEDA manufacturer member specializing in walk-in coolers and freezers, as well as insulated metal panels, has completed the acquisition of Canadian Curtis.

The addition of Canadian Curtis is expected to strengthen Norbec’s presence in Ontario and support its growth strategy by expanding local market access and service capabilities. As part of the acquisition, Norbec will integrate Canadian Curtis’ activities and customer commitments into its organization. The company said it will work closely with customers and partners to ensure continuity and clarity throughout the transition process.

Following an integration period, Canadian Curtis manufacturing operations will be closed and fully integrated into Norbec’s existing operations. Norbec will welcome Canadian Curtis employees for continued employment where possible and will support affected team members throughout the transition, including opportunities at Norbec’s newly built manufacturing facility in Strathroy, Ontario.

“This acquisition brings together two organizations that have each made meaningful contributions to the Ontario foodservice sector,” said Jan Lembregts, Norbec president and CEO. “By combining Norbec’s manufacturing excellence with Canadian Curtis’ established sales and service network, we are strengthening our ability to serve customers in Ontario with consistency, reliability, and long-term commitment.”
