RSG Bolsters Retail Sales Team
Blaine Berr
Blaine Berr has joined Refrigerated Solutions Group (RSG) as a retail key account director. His career in the foodservice equipment and supplies industry has spanned more than 25 years, most of which has been spent working directly with convenience and fuel retailers on the equipment programs behind their new builds and remodels.
Berr joins RSG from Lancer Worldwide, where he most recently served as senior director of strategic accounts. There, Berr led chain-wide equipment programs covering thousands of retail locations and built the distributor and service relationships supporting those programs. Earlier in his career, he held national and regional sales leadership positions with United Fast Food & Beverage Service, FBD, and Tomlinson Industries.
“The refrigeration needs in the c-store space are changing quickly, from the application driven by menu expansion, as well as initiatives to reduce operating costs,” said Bryan Waechter, senior vice president commercial at RSG. “Our customers are looking for partners that can help them solve these challenges. Blaine has spent his career helping retailers accomplish their goals by becoming an extension of their team, getting a clear understanding of their pain points and addressing them with the best solution.”
Berr’s appointment gives convenience and small-format retail customers a dedicated senior point of contact at RSG and reflects the company’s ongoing investment in a segment served by both the Norlake and Master-Bilt brands. In a news release, RSG said Berr will be at the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) Show in October and available to meet with retailers and channel partners.
“Retailers are expanding foodservice and updating refrigeration without slowing down day-to-day operations,” Berr said. “They need clear answers early, equipment that fits both the store and the project schedule, and a point of contact who stays engaged through startup and beyond. That is the role I intend to play for RSG customers.”
