Thermo-Kool, a FEDA manufacturer member, has announced the appointment of Steve Allen as plant manager. In his new role, Allen will oversee the company's manufacturing operations, ensuring production schedules are met while driving continuous process improvements, maintaining quality and safety standards, and supporting employee development across the organization.

Allen brings more than 20 years of manufacturing and operations leadership experience. He has a proven track record of improving production efficiency, implementing lean manufacturing strategies, advancing workplace safety, and developing high-performing teams, the company said. Before joining Thermo-Kool, he held leadership positions across a variety of manufacturing environments, where he oversaw large-scale operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

“Steve brings a wealth of manufacturing and operational leadership experience to Thermo-Kool, but what has impressed me most is his willingness to share that knowledge to develop those around him and foster a strong team environment,” Thermo-Kool President and CEO Rand McLaughlin said. “Since joining our company, he has demonstrated a commitment to continuous improvement, collaboration, and excellence that aligns perfectly with our core values. I am confident Steve will have a positive impact not only on our production team but across the entire organization as we continue building on Thermo-Kool’s legacy.”

Based in Laurel, Mississippi, Thermo-Kool manufactures walk-in coolers and freezers, integrated blast chillers and shock freezers, and other commercial refrigeration solutions for the foodservice industry.
