Boston Showcase President Matt Starr Earns 40 Under 40 Recognition

The Boston Business Journal (BBJ) has named Matt Starr, president of Boston Showcase Co. (BSC), as one of its 40 Under 40 award winners for 2026.

Each year, the publication’s 40 Under 40 awards recognize rising stars in the Boston business world who have distinguished themselves in their companies, their communities, and their industries. The selected young professionals are executives, innovators, and entrepreneurs who represent the region’s next generation of business leaders.

In an interview with the BBJ, Starr discussed how he entered the foodservice equipment and supplies sector through his family’s business and the influence of his grandfather, “Papa” Jason, who was the third president of BSC. As a leader of a fourth-generation family business, Starr said the honor felt less like a personal milestone and more like a reflection of the BSC team and the work they do together every day.

“I’m grateful to the BBJ, to my cousin and business partner Andy Starr, to my colleagues at BSC past and present, to the customers and partners who’ve trusted us along the way, and to my family who built BSC before me and shaped who I am — both inside the business and out,” Starr said.
