Chocolate Experience Coming to HostMilano 2025

Chocolatier Davide Comaschi
Master chocolatier and taste innovator Davide Comaschi will debut a new experiential project, sCIOCk – Chocolate in Motion, at HostMilano 2025, held Oct. 17–21, at Fiera Milano in Rho, Italy.
Described as a cultural and sensory space devoted to chocolate in all its forms, sCIOCk aims to engage professionals, industry leaders and enthusiasts through a series of interactive experiences. The program will include live demonstrations, themed talks, technical master classes, and roundtable discussions featuring chefs, pastry chefs, food designers, and other thought leaders from the confectionery industry.
“Chocolate in motion” serves as the project’s guiding philosophy, emphasizing innovation, experimentation and the evolution of chocolate beyond the traditional pastry case. Comaschi describes the initiative as “an open, contemporary space where chocolate isn’t just a product, but a language.”
The name sCIOCk reflects this spirit, blending cioc, the root of the Italian word for chocolate, cioccolato, with a creative jolt that evokes the ever-changing nature of melted chocolate.
“With sCIOCk, we’re bringing to Host a place where people talk, learn and experiment. Where knowledge meets flavor,” Comaschi said. “That’s why we believe HostMilano is the natural place to launch a cultural journey with all the key stakeholders in the food, beverage and hospitality sectors.”
Organizers at HostMilano expressed enthusiasm for the project. “We are thrilled to welcome a project like sCIOCk to HostMilano — one that combines innovation and high-level expertise in a dynamic and engaging way,” said Francesca Cavallo, head of hospitality exhibitions at Fiera Milano. “Hosting Davide Comaschi and an event with such a visionary spirit is a real asset and further strengthens Host’s position as a leading international platform for the hospitality world. It’s a partnership built on shared values: continuous innovation, meaningful connections, cross-disciplinary exchange, and an openness to the future.”
While sCIOCk will make its debut at HostMilano, the project is designed to extend beyond the trade show. Future plans include taking the concept on the road to schools, culinary events and creative spaces in Italy and internationally, with the goal of becoming a lasting platform for training, professional development and cultural outreach centered on chocolate.
