In recognition of its ability to foster talent, Alto-Shaam received a Brandon Hall Group Bronze award for excellence in the Best Leadership Development Program category. The awards celebrate best practices across industry categories, including learning and development, talent management, leadership development, talent acquisition, human resources, and diversity, equity and inclusion.

Alto-Shaam’s award-winning submission, Leadership Lab: Innovation Through Collaboration, was developed in partnership with Palmer Quade Consulting LLC and featured a 12-month cross-functional cohort program to enhance leadership skills, strengthen peer relationships and deepen understanding of the company’s operational dynamics. The program’s signature Innovation Capstone Project included integrated workshops, executive mentoring, one-on-one coaching, and peer learning circles. Participants produced eight high-impact projects that were presented to Alto-Shaam's senior leadership, centering on product concepts and transformative process improvements to drive further efficiencies and enhancements for the business.

“The innovative capstone projects weren’t just for show,” CEO Steve Maahs said. “Rooted in our core values, these projects all focused on delivering real and tangible benefits across the business, and I’m excited to see them come to life. As a multigenerational business, our Alto-Shaam family means everything, and we are committed to providing opportunities for continuous growth, learning and development.”
