Longtime Hatco sales leader Mark Pumphret is retiring after more than three decades in the foodservice equipment and supplies industry.
Pumphret joined Hatco in 2011 as a dealer sales manager, rising through the company to various sales leadership positions of increasing responsibility — including his most recent role as vice president of North American sales. Before Hatco, he held roles at Blodgett and Electrolux Professional Group.
“Mark has made a lasting impact on Hatco through his leadership, industry knowledge, and
commitment to our customers and channel partners,” Hatco President and CEO Lorne Deacon said. “Over the past 15 years, he has helped strengthen our sales organization and build relationships that will continue to benefit Hatco for years to come. We are grateful for all he has contributed and wish him the very best in his well-earned retirement.”
Coinciding with Pumphret’s retirement, Hatco announced the promotions of Joe Flaherty to vice president of global sales and Stuart Sharp to director of national sales.
“I’ve been more than blessed to work for such an amazing company and incredible industry, and look forward to watching Joe and Stuart lead the company into the future,” Pumphret said.
In his new role, Flaherty will lead the FEDA manufacturer member company’s sales strategy across global markets and provide direction to Hatco’s regional, national, and global accounts team. He will also strengthen relationships with dealers, buying groups, consultants, rep groups, and distributors. Flaherty joined Hatco in 2025 as director of international sales. He is a certified foodservice professional (CFSP) and has more than 25 years of experience in the foodservice equipment and supplies industry.
As director of national sales, Sharp will lead the day-to-day management of Hatco’s dealer and consultant sales managers. He will also support the execution of the company’s domestic sales strategy, including sales planning, forecasting, and channel programs. Sharp, who has more than 25 years of foodservice industry experience, joined Hatco in 2022 and most recently served as national sales manager.
“Joe and Stuart each bring strong industry experience, customer focus, and proven leadership to their new roles,” Deacon said. “As we look ahead, their expanded responsibilities will help us continue building a sales organization that supports our partners, serves our customers, and positions Hatco for continued growth.”
