Longtime Sam Tell Salesperson Burton Hardy Remembered

A longtime salesperson for the Sam Tell Companies, Burton Hardy, has passed away.

Hardy joined the New York-based dealer in 1990 as a sales associate, eventually becoming the company’s first million-dollar sales representative. He was named Foodservice Equipment & Supplies magazine’s DSR of the Month in November 2010. A one-time aspiring stand-up comic, Hardy also helped run a fundraiser for flood victims at a 1993 benefit called “Rafts of Laughs.”

“[He] was known for his dedication and the strong relationships he built with clients and colleagues,” Sam Tell Companies said. “He will be greatly missed.”
