Middleby Innovation Kitchens Opens in Germany

Middleby, a FEDA manufacturer member, has opened the Middleby Innovation Kitchens (MIK) in Munich, a new state-of-the-art facility for European customers. Visitors can experience real-world applications of Middleby technologies in themed environments, demonstrating cutting-edge solutions for every foodservice concept, from fast casual and fine dining, to ghost kitchens and gourmet bakeries.
“We are committed to strengthening our presence and deepening our customer engagement in Germany and all of Europe,” Middleby CEO Tim FitzGerald said. “The MIK Munich will allow foodservice professionals throughout the continent to experience our solutions and innovation firsthand.”
“This launch is a significant step in strengthening our presence in Central Europe,” added Chris Jones, European group president of Middleby Worldwide. “The Munich Innovation Kitchens is more than a showroom — it’s a collaborative hub to explore ideas, refine operations and shape the future of foodservice as a partner of our customers.”
The MIK in Munich also serves as the new hub and official launchpad for Middleby Germany, the company’s latest regional subsidiary focused on serving the German, Austrian, Czech, and Swiss markets. This centralized presence ensures closer proximity and deeper support for partners across the region, the company said in a news release. Simon Seemüller, managing director of Middleby Germany, is leading the company’s efforts in the region.
“Under Simon’s leadership, the goal is to greatly expand the Middleby reach in Germany and beyond,” Jones said. “This year will be an exciting time in this region, and Simon and his team have hit the ground running. They now have an amazing resource to support their efforts in the new MIK Munich.”
