Norbec, a FEDA manufacturer member specializing in prefabricated walk-in coolers and freezers, has hired Jimmy Wead as its new regional technical sales manager for the Midwest, supporting the Building Envelope and Controlled Environment Division.

Wead has more than 25 years of experience in technical sales, project delivery, and customer support within the construction industry. He has supported architectural and industrial projects, including complex building-envelope and insulated-panel applications. In addition to cold storage and controlled-environment work, he has led design-build initiatives with building contractor networks across the Midwest. In a news release, Norbec said Wead thrives on helping project teams deliver tailored solutions from design coordination through installation support.

“I’ve been genuinely impressed by Norbec — the team’s knowledge, collaboration, and pace of innovation are exceptional,” Wead said. “I’m excited to help bring that strength to customers across the Midwest.”

Wead’s deep technical knowledge and understanding of jobsite challenges make him a strong resource for Norbec’s partners in the region, the company said. In his new role, he will work closely with customers to align building envelope solutions with project realities, from design coordination to installation support.
