Alto-Shaam Fundraiser Raises Record $230,000 at 15th Annual Golf for a Cure Event

Alto-Shaam, in partnership with the Maahs Family Foundation, raised a record-breaking $230,000 during its 15th Annual Golf for a Cure fundraiser, benefiting Blood Cancer United.

Held on July 15 at Ironwood Golf Course in Sussex, Wisconsin, the event brought together Alto-Shaam employees, customers, distributors, suppliers, and community partners in support of the cause. The total includes $115,000 raised through event sponsorships, donations, and fundraising activities, matched dollar-for-dollar by Alto-Shaam.

“I would like to sincerely thank everyone who attended, participated, and supported our latest Golf for a Cure event,” CEO Steve Maahs said. “The generous support shown for this important cause, and the record total raised, will make a real difference in supporting Blood Cancer United and the patients and families it serves.”

Golf for a Cure was established in memory of Alto-Shaam founder Jerry Maahs, who passed away from non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2006. Since Alto-Shaam’s partnership with Blood Cancer United began in 2007, the company and its partners have helped raise more than $1.5 million to support blood cancer research, patient support programs, and scholarships.

Funds raised through Golf for a Cure support initiatives including the Jerry Maahs Memorial Fund for Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma Research, the Dare to Dream Project, and scholarships for childhood blood cancer survivors.
