Pre-Register for Part Two of FEDA's 2025 Supply Chain Education Series
Available at no cost to FEDA members beginning Nov. 18, this on-demand session will illuminate how flexible and agile supply chains can serve as dynamic enablers of growth. Thomas Goldsby, co-executive director of the Global Supply Chain Institute at the University of Tennessee's Haslam College of Business, will examine how top companies are climbing out of operational ruts and harvesting good ideas by tapping existing and prospective members of the supply chain for market growth.

Don Follett Remembered for Growing Manufacturing Company
Don Follett, a former chairman of the Follett Corporation, now part of Middleby, and a past president of the North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM), passed away at his home in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, on Oct. 13 at the age of 96.

Berlin's Restaurant Supply Moving to New Space in Charleston
The subsidary of Kamran & Co., a FEDA distributor member, said the move will enable it to stock the products its customers need most, improving its delivery times and ensuring it can offer the expertise and support that set it apart in the foodservice equipment and supplies industry. The goal is to keep Berlin’s customer experience personal, responsive and rooted in Charleston’s thriving culinary scene, the company added.

Refrigerated Solutions Group Achieves ISO Certifications at Wisconsin Plant
The facility is now verified to meet ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards. The designation follows a previous ISO 9001 verification for the company’s New Albany, Mississippi, plant in 2024, meaning that both of RSG’s U.S. facilities have now proven their consistency in quality processes, operational reliability and ability to make continuous improvements through structured systems.

National Association of Manufactuers Outlines Four Policy Steps Needed to Boost AI-Powered Manufacturing
The Manufacturing’s Roadmap to AI and Energy Dominance report lays out principles to advance American energy production and, in turn, unlock the full potential of AI. AI is transforming manufacturing, but without abundant, affordable energy and a resilient and reliable power grid, America risks falling behind, NAM said in a news release. According to the Manufacturing Leadership Council, the digital transformation division of NAM, 51 percent of manufacturers already use AI and 80 percent say it will be essential to grow or even maintain their business by 2030.
