Restaurant Equipment World (REW) announced the addition of Hunter Pierce and Landon Pierce, sons of President and CEO Brad Pierce, to its team. In the year of REW’s 50th anniversary, the company welcomes the recent University of Central Florida graduates — who both finished at the top of their class — into roles designated specifically for them.
Hunter Pierce will join the Orlando, Florida-based distributor as a product development specialist. In this position, he will lead ChowCom, REW’s next-generation kiosk and mobile food ordering platform exclusively serving military foodservice establishments worldwide. He will help guide the platform’s direction and continued growth, bringing ChowCom to new military installations while supporting existing bases where the platform is in operation.
“It’s exciting to see something we’ve built make a difference for people every day,” Hunter Pierce said. “I’m looking forward to continuing to grow ChowCom and finding ways to better serve those who serve.”
Landon Pierce will join the team as a sales and design specialist, bringing experience in sales, 3D design, and project development to the role. The company said he will work closely with customers and project teams to develop practical, well-designed solutions that meet each project’s unique needs.
“I’m excited to join the team and bring my experience in sales and design to the role,” Landon Pierce said. “I’m looking forward to helping customers turn their ideas into successful projects.”
The brothers will be joining the team originally built by retired founders and grandparents, Jerry and Carol Pierce, whose many accomplishments established a solid foundation and reputation for REW in the foodservice industry.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to have my twin sons join the industry as the third generation in our family-owned business,” Brad Pierce said. “They unofficially began their foodservice careers attending their first FEDA conference when they were just six weeks old — you could say they’ve been training their entire lives for this moment. I’m grateful to so many industry friends who have been so supportive as they embark upon this exciting journey.”
