Avanti Joins List of Fastest-Growing Large Companies in Home Market
After experiencing 73 percent growth over the past two years, Avanti Restaurant Solutions has been ranked second in the “largest firm” category on the Orange County Business Journal’s list of fastest-growing private companies. This is Avanti’s first appearance in the list’s largest firm category, which is reserved for companies with more than $90 million in annual revenue.

Boelter Golf Outing Raises $110,000 for Food Charities
Boelter team members and partners put their backswings and short games to good use at the 8th Annual Boelter Charity Golf Outing. The event was held in mid-August at Ironwood Golf Course in Sussex, Wisconsin. Participants and sponsors raised $110,000 — nearly double the $60,000 total from last year’s event.

Foodservice Equipment Sales See Largest Gain in 18 Months
Overall sales were up 1.6 percent for the quarter in the latest MAFSI Business Barometer, a modest improvement over the flat or negative growth experienced for the last six quarters. Further improvement is expected, with 2.7 percent growth now projected for Q3 2025. Still, the association warned that the disruptive effect of higher tariff rates on the foodservice industry has not yet been fully realized, making it nearly impossible to forecast the market's outlook.

Report: Unionized Workers See Slower Wage Growth
Workers in the least unionized jobs experienced the strongest wage growth over the last decade, according to a new study released by the National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors (NAW). The study, conducted by Elevated Insights Group, compared wage growth of the manufacturing and transportation industries governed by the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), the Railway Labor Act (RLA), and the U.S. Postal Service. Between 2015 and 2024, the study found that wages in most unionized NLRA jobs grew by 26 percent. Meanwhile, wages for the least unionized NLRA jobs grew by 36 percent — the fastest growth of any group studied.
