Longtime Boston Showcase Co. (BSC) owner and former president Alan Starr is joining his brother, Jack, in retiring from the company.

Alan and Jack Starr began working at BSC in the 1970s alongside their father, Jason Starr, who passed away in 2007. Under the brothers’ stewardship, the family-owned business became a major player in the Northeast, supporting generations of customers and building lasting relationships throughout the region. In late 2022, the pair initiated a planned transition of leadership to the fourth generation of the Starr family, appointing cousins Matt Starr as president and Andy Starr as CEO.

“We are profoundly grateful for Jack’s and Alan’s vision, dedication, and decades of service,” the BSC leadership team said in a news release. “Their commitment has been instrumental in building the foundation for our future success, and we honor their remarkable contributions to our company and the industry.”
