TriMark USA announced that Zeeshan Malik has joined the company as executive vice president of strategic sourcing, reporting to CEO Terry O'Brien.

Malik joins TriMark from Foodbuy USA, where he most recently served as vice president of sourcing, North America. His career spans more than 16 years with Foodbuy and parent company Compass Group, and he also spent 17 years working for various retailers worldwide. In his new role, Malik will be responsible for accelerating and refining TriMark's worldwide sourcing efforts to support the company’s existing customers and rapid new market expansion.

“Zeeshan's addition affirms the momentum we've been building in the marketplace,” O’Brien said. “Our companywide transformation that began in late 2024 — building a modern, high-performance organization that’s digitally enabled, customer-obsessed, and powered by great people — remains on track. Zeeshan's deep international sourcing experience and relationships advance this effort, further allowing TriMark to deliver the industry-best value our customers expect.”

“I’m thrilled to join TriMark at this pivotal time and work alongside Terry and the executive leadership team,” Malik said. “As the foodservice landscape continues to evolve, TriMark's scale uniquely positions the company to expand its global supplier base and work closely with national providers to bring operators best-in-class solutions. TriMark’s industry-leading range of design services, equipment, and supplies drives critical efficiencies and innovation.”

Alongside Executive Vice President Karen McCain, Malik also will co-lead TriMark’s previously announced 2027 plans to deal more directly with its largest equipment suppliers and exit the NexGen industry buying group. Beginning Jan. 1, 2027, he will add the TriMark category management team to his responsibilities. McCain will shift her executive leadership team responsibilities to lead key strategic initiatives and mergers and acquisitions activities.
