Nicholas Mahoney has joined USA Restaurant Suppliers as a project and logistics coordinator for the FEDA distributor member. He brings more than 13 years of experience in managing telecommunications projects and logistics to the Fort Worth, Texas-based dealer.

Boelter Bikers Raise Money to End Cancer
A team of bikers from The Boelter Companies, led by company presidents Eric and Rick Boelter, joined more than 1,000 cyclists as they rolled through Milwaukee on Aug. 17 for the inaugural Audaxity Ride to End Cancer. The event generated 3,981 donations from 111 teams, all of which will go toward supporting research at the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center. 
 
T&S Brass and Bronze Works Opens Distribution Warehouse in British Columbia
“This expansion is about much more than just opening a new warehouse,” said Ken Gallagher, vice president of sales and marketing at T&S Brass. “We know our Canadian customers have faced hurdles like unpredictable border clearance or high shipping costs and lead times, challenges that make sourcing critical products much more difficult.”

Irinox Hire Looks to Expand K-12 Market
Irinox Professional North America, a FEDA manufacturer member that specializes in blast chilling and shock freezing technology, has hired Darcy Frawley as a business development specialist for the K-12 market. In this newly created role, Frawley will be tasked with expanding Irinox’s footprint in school nutrition programs across North America.
New Executive Order Signals End of Federal Attempt to Ban Noncompete Agreements
The Trump administration has rescinded the Biden-era executive order that directed the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and other agencies to adopt pro-competition regulations. The FTC’s near-total ban on noncompete agreements between employers and employees is among the regulations that were put in place in response to a 2021 executive order. The rule, which was adopted in 2024, has been met by several legal challenges. In August 2024, a federal judge issued a nationwide injunction that prevented the noncompete ban from taking effect.
