Pre-Register for Part Two of FEDA's 2025 Supply Chain Education Series
Available at no cost to FEDA members beginning Nov. 18, this on-demand session will illuminate how flexible and agile supply chains can serve as dynamic enablers of growth. Thomas Goldsby, co-executive director of the Global Supply Chain Institute at the University of Tennessee's Haslam College of Business, will examine how top companies are climbing out of operational ruts and harvesting good ideas by tapping existing and prospective members of the supply chain for market growth.

Founded in 1995, Royal Range designs and produces cooking equipment that includes ranges, ovens, fryers, and countertop cooking appliances. The company has about 40 employees and operates a factory in Eastvale, California.

Congressional Compromise Ends Government Shutdown Most federal agencies will be funded through Jan. 30 — potentially setting up another shutdown confrontation in Congress just two months from now. However, the bill provides full fiscal year funding through Sept. 30, 2026, for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the legislative branch, veterans affairs, military construction, and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). It also includes $203.5 million in new funding to improve security for legislators, $28 million for the protection of Supreme Court justices and an increase of $2.3 billion for veterans’ medical care.

FEDA Joins Business Groups in Supporting Modernization of Fair Labor Standards Act Now that the government shutdown has ended and the House of Representatives is back in session, the House Education and Workforce Committee is planning to mark up the Ensuring Workers Get PAID Act, the Tipped Employee Protection Act and the Working Families Flexibility Act. The trio of proposed bills would amend worker regulations to allow employees to self-correct wage errors, more clearly define tipped employees and enable workers to convert overtime to paid time off.
