In a news release, John Boos stated the strategic move will expand its product offerings to meet an array of culinary needs. The acquisition will combine John Boos' craftsmanship, professional-grade cutting boards and butcher blocks, commercial stainless steel kitchen equipment, and premium kitchen work tables and carts with JK Adams’ wooden cutting and carving boards.

Confidence in Economy Grows Among Small Businesses
The quarterly MetLife and U.S. Chamber Small Business Index found that 40 percent of companies with fewer than 500 employees believe the U.S. economy is in good health, while 46 percent said the same of their local economies — an improvement of 6 percent and 5 percent, respectively, from Q2 2025. At the same time, more small businesses said they were very comfortable with their cash flow (31 percent now versus 23 percent in Q2) and 69 percent said they expect revenue to increase over the next year.

New Bills Aim to Expand Labor Pool and Develop Skilled Workers
The USA Workforce Investment Act would provide tax credits to companies that donate to local workforce development programs, while the Essential Workers for Economic Advancement Act would create a new nonimmigrant visa. The legislation has received wide support from business organizations, including the National Restaurant Association and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
